A few months ago we learned my daughter’s ex husband has a fast growing cancer that our first responders especially are exposed to. Alan was diagnosed with a form of Lukemia and the treatments are very aggressive. He announced not long ago he was in remission. For that we all said our thanks to God above. A few weeks later he got pneumonia and has gone down hill since. What we found out from our daughter that as aggressive the cancer is the treatments are as hard on the body as the cancer its self. His body is fighting and he is too.The kids, and his family are with him and the praying and waiting continues. The reason I am posting this is to remind us what these First Reponders sacrafice on every call they go out on. The toxins that they breathe in while fighting the fires to save lives and property. The dangers the First Responders they face day in and day out.
Next time you see these people out in your everyday life, reach out and thank them for taking these risks so we don’t have too.
