Been A While

I was a little surprised when I noticed how long it has been since I’ve posted anything. So far 2024 has started out pretty good for us. I am hoping that this year will be a good one for everyone. We are still making, but looks like we are slowly changing to more candy making, we will doing our crafting. Here are a few things that have come out of my sewing room.

As we look back 2023 was a good year. We took our 3 kids, their families except the 4 older granddaughters went to spend Thanksgiving in Texas. It was wonderful to see family and watch the youngest granddaughter, Destiny, going to the beach for the first time, riding a horse, and seeing cows up close. When we grow up with things it is easy to take for granted things you see and do on a daily basis.

This last year I was made President of our Quilt Guild and 2023 also was a good experience, but to say I will miss doing this would be a mixed answer. Many things I’ve experienced was great, but my question to you is how do you work with any females who throw temper tantrums, and want to bully you. I have been asking God for patience and guidance. He has so for given me what I have asked for, but just a small handful of people sure can drive a person crazy.

Now on to more happy things, I am making a FIRST. My FIRST miniature quilt, My FIRST paper piecing a miniature quilt. I have made a large Queen Size paper pieced quilt, but this has given me more issues than anything I have done. Here it is

While this has given me some issues, I make have to make more. We will see. Hope you achieve all you want for 2024.

We are a multi generation team. We create different things and a lot of times we have fun creating with 3 generations of people. That is how we came up with our name because as you will see we are "One Creative Family". Please feel free to join us :)

  1. That pieced quilt is quite amazing already! Working with ladies who have no other outlet for power is a huge challenge. I was always thankful that I worked with mostly men, much easier!
