This last week we went to Houston, Tx for a memorial for my sister. Her 8 month battle with Leukemia is finally over. We left here and made a few stops while we were traveling. Got some new fabric. It is so great I don’t want to use it yet. It is from Australia. The texture and feel of the fabric is so soft.
Just have to decide on a quilt for this and then get it going. Any suggestions?
Hope everyone had a safe 4th of July. We stayed in and watched the neighbors set theirs off. I have started some hand applique on the Row by row patterns that I got while we were traveling. Do you collect the license plates from Quilt shops? What about their patterns? The first one will be a lighthouse with the Lone Star on it. I will post a picture when I have it finished.

I am sorry for the loss of your sister.

So very sorry for your loss. The Australian fabrics are lovely, I have similar fabrics in my stash but have not used them yet.

I’m sorry about your sister. That is beautiful fabric, and I have no suggestions, because I’ve never managed to use mine, or the stuff from Africa, but it’s just pretty anyway. =) It probably needs to be the focus fabric in blocks, but what you’d put with it, I don’t know. It doesn’t seem like the grunge kind of coordinate! Batiks maybe?
