One Creative Family

Went to the Post Office to mail our giveaway to Mrs. P and had to laugh.  We had to fill out a  US Custom’s Form.  Who is it going to, weight, detailed description, weight, cost, phone numbers, etc.  It took us longer to fill out the form than it did to drive to the Post Office.  So funny.

I am sending a picture of the wall hanging so far.  I am just struggling getting things to look right in the center.  Finally had to put it aside for a while before I wad it up and start over.  Any suggestions on lining things up so it looks like all meet together in center? So much to do and so little time.  I sound like Willy Wonka right now.  Time to get the brain uncluttered.  Time to make my lists.

Today has been very productive.  I love those days. Don’t you?  When you plan something and it goes off without a hitch.  Feels great.  Got peanut brittle, jalapeno brittle, and pecan brittle ready for the sale in 2 weeks.  Working on the wall hanging now.  I won’t know what to do with my time when all this is ready.  Will be interesting to find out.

Here are some great crocheted cozies Alicia made.  I think my favorite is the purple and white one.

We are so happy to announce the winner of our 1st Giveaway.  The winner is…..(drum roll)…Roma1912. We are so excited to be sending her the cozies.

Today was filled with sewing.  I am making this wall hanging and just can’t seem to leave it.  What have you been doing?

What a beautiful day today.  Sunny in the high 60’s and my yard is so green.  Worked in the yard, grilled some ribs and a brisket, then worked on a wall hanging.  We were to donate something to the First Responder’s  Silent Auction.  I decided to make the Arizona  Sunrise by Deb Karaski.  It is paper piecing and is fun and going well.  When I finish this I may have to make one for myself.   This is a reminder that tomorrow is the last day for the giveaway.  Good luck.

Today brings lots of fun things, and not so fun things to One Creative Family.  Got to spend some time with some wonderful people who I worked with.  It was fun seeing them and and all the kids running around in a middle school.  I do miss the adults but am glad I retired.  A new quilt is calling my name.  I will start on a Snowman attic window wall hanging for Christmas.  I love decorating.  Do you?  What are your favorite Christmas season traditions?  My favorite is having the grandkids decorate the tree Thanksgiving evening.  There is always so much giggling going on.  We have 5 granddaughters.  One grandson who is in his 20’s and doesn’t participate.

These are 2 of my Christmas wall hangings.  The decorations on the tree are pins and angels that were my mother’s . Fun to have her with us during the season.  I will be adding some of my Mother In Laws to the tree this year.  We put battery operated lights on it.

What a wonderful day today.  Went shopping with my daughter and granddaughter, came home made 7 loaves of zucchini bread, 3 batches of peanut brittle, and a batch of cookies.  Now is I am sitting at my sewing machine getting ready to make another apron.  If you haven’t joined our give away, you still have time.  We are really excited about this.  Just click on the Rafflecopter giveaway on the blog and it will take you to the giveaway.   Our visitors have been having fun the last few days.  It is so much fun watching these little Hummingbirds fly around playing.

We have decided to have a giveaway.  We have been so pleased and excited about the new sets we are making we would like to give one away.  Follow the If there are any problems or questions please feel free to comment so we can make sure they get correct for future giveaways.

Thank you bunches

Today was a great day with the morning spent in the sewing room, the afternoon in the kitchen.  We have only 17 more days till the sale and once all the brittle is done then I will be ready.  I hope.

Here are some cute shoes.  They are flip flops and made into some cute and comfy shoes.

We would like to introduce “Frankie and Stiena”.  Getting to be close to Halloween and just wanted to throw these out there.

Today I started making Peanut brittle and Pecan Brittle.  Made 4 pounds of it.  Still have lots to go.  Alicia has been making “Thin Blue Line” coffee cozies for our Sale coming up in a few weeks.  These are to show support for our Law Enforcement  Dept.
