I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I am. Today we are starting the day off with new roof, yard work completed, and oven cleaned.. Now I am free to enjoy some sewing. First of all I have something to show off. My daughter in law wanted to make something special for some of their friends who are coming into the state for a karate seminar. She decided on pillows for them. This is her design and she did the work. Represents their Karate Gi and black belt with their names embroidered on the belt. She did a great job and now my son needs one for himself. I enjoy seeing someone create something special for someone..
I have 3 blocks completed on my quilt from our trip last year to the South West. Coming Together quite nicely.

These are each 21×21 or 21×17. Not sure if I want to make them individual mini quilts and hang them as a series or to put them together as a whole quilt. I have 1 more set of 4 to finish. I will have to figure it out.
Any thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

My new cutting mat. I won the giveaway from Rorabacks. I love it. It is a self healing cutting mat and is heavier than the one I currently have. Check her out on Facebook www.facebook.com/Rorabacks She is having a daily giveaway. Great ideas also.

Putting the border on my little piece.
The blue gets lost, and I do like the wine. Suggestions?
All that is left are the borders and binding….AND
TEARING THE PAPER OFF. I think I will see how much fun tearing with a 2 yr old can be. A day of “Bubble Guppies” and tearing paper. Then picking up paper pieces.
I wonder how full the zoo will get and how long will it stay full? How long before she realizes the bungie stretches and she can go in and the animals back on the floor.

Any suggestions of the dates of this? My thoughts are 50’s or 60’s. I also got of goodies from my Daughter in Law. She had decided not do any jewelry making at this point so I have been looking the box of goodies.
Now to see all this wonderful stuff Now to check things out.
These are the blocks and then the layout for these. I want to get these ready for the quilting by the weekend. Let’s just hope my plans work out. Seldom do they, but the nice thing is there is always tomorrow.
