Everything is cancelled around here
Our Governor and Mayor have cancelled all activities for the rest of the month and possibly into April. I understand the reasoning for this and have to say I agree with them. We have no viruses known in town and it would be wonderful to stay that way, but I don’t think it will. LastContinue reading “Everything is cancelled around here”
A sleepless Night
Yesterday was met with only 2 hours of sleep. We’d planned a trip to Washington DC, and was worried about hubby traveling with this Pandemic Virus going on. He has COPD and lost the top left lung to cancer a few years ago. This year alone he has had pneumonia twice and that is withContinue reading “A sleepless Night”
When is a scrap quilt not a scrap quilt?
Last night at Quilt Guild we had Kathy Delaney as a guest speaker and she asked this question. “When is a scrap quilt not a scrap quilt? I always thought a “scrap quilt” was when you used only your scraps. You know in Split Rail quilts or Log Cabins and so on. She explained toContinue reading “When is a scrap quilt not a scrap quilt?”
Needing Quilting advice.
This last few weeks has been crazy, but we have made it thru. I hate to admit it but I live my life thru lists, and calendars. I carry a calendar in my purse, on my phone, on my sewing table, and kitchen wall. With hubby’s Dr appointments, granddaughter sitting, her school days, and whatContinue reading “Needing Quilting advice.”
Tooth Fairy Pillow
Destiny, our 5 yr old granddaughter informed me that she had her 1st loose tooth and we HAD to make a Tooth Fairy Pillow. We came into the sewing room and started to look thru fabric. She told me she didn’t want a pillow that the tooth would fall out of. She then gave meContinue reading “Tooth Fairy Pillow”
A new week.
Last week I didn’t get a lot accomplished, we were busy, but nothing accomplished. Ever have those days? I am hoping this week is a week to get things finished. Haha the joke is on me. Hubby planned a day so I guess I will be getting the afternoon to do as I planned. OhContinue reading “A new week.”
What Do You do on a Cold Day?
This morning today is 5 degrees with the wind chill of -18. Schools have closed so I thought I would gear this post towards what we do on COLD winter days. By 7am I will be in the kitchen putting bread dough on to rise. Nothing like hot bread and jelly on a cold day.Continue reading “What Do You do on a Cold Day?”
A Walk On The Beach Wallhanging.
While sitting in Dr offices(hubby has been sick, and now on the mend)I have been doing hand work on my wall hanging of our last Beach walk in Texas. In April our Guild is hosting our annual Quilt Show and so I am entering 4 pieces. So with a deadline I have to make sureContinue reading “A Walk On The Beach Wallhanging.”
Happy Thursday
This week I have been in a cleaning mood so strike while the iron’s hot. Needless to say not a lot on the sewing front, but I did get in some etching. Today I have started cutting out triangles for another One Block Wonder. I know I said I wouldn’t but I saw this panelContinue reading “Happy Thursday”
