last week did some alterations for a neighbor on her wedding dress and with this done I wanted to do something fun. Now we have dragonflies flying around the sewing room.

What I am most happy with is the center dragonfly. I dyed the fabric with alcohol ink. I will be making more of these.
Well back to the sewing machine. Oh I do have one question. I have sewed for people and charged for that and still do, but done quilting for other people I have put off giving them names of people. How do you figure how much to charge to quit a top for someone? Do they supply the batting

How did you make those dragonflies? Did you color them in, appliqué?

They are raw edge applique. You could needle turn it if you want

Your dragonflies are beautiful! My quilter charges about 1-1/4 cents per square inch for panto designs and charges separately for her usual batting, which she gets cheaper by the bolt. People who do custom quilting charge much more, prompting one of my friends to comment, “your quilt could be a national award winner too if you paid someone $3000 to quilt it,”

Thank you for the info and I seriously doubt I have to worry about being a national award winner. LOL

I love these dragonflies! Is there wire on the edges. I would never attempt one of these but really love them. Are you selling them at a craft fair??

Now wire, just tacked down to look lie it. This one is made for the craft fairs. We will see how it goes.
