Last post a few days ago I told you that I had been working on a One Block Wonder quilt. I spread it out on the living room floor and moved kaleidoscope blocks around. After an hour this is the photo I took.

Now everything will have to be squared up before it is all said and done. I like the way the top looks, but not the rest. Any suggestions? I picked it all up and will work on it again tomorrow. Liz did say you would want to rearrange and photo several times before you find one you like. Ok we will see how long before I decide.
Tomorrow I will be making Burbon Balls for my Daughter for Christmas and I will make a few pies and then wait for Santa.
Tonight will find me cleaning so I can get up in the morning and start arranging blocks.
Friday my little “Chef” decorated Christmas Cookies. A little bit too much icing on some, but she was happy and really did good for a 4 yr old.

Needless to say when Mom picked her up she was on a sugar high, because you have to lick your fingers, before washing them….
Merry Christmas and have a safe Holiday.

The quilt is beautiful!aybe there’s too much of the same color in the bottom left corner?
Enjoy your baking! Wishing you and your family a very merry Christmas!!

Wow! Gorgeous colours. Maybe those blues and oranges at the bottom could be mixed up a bit although as you have mostly greens at the top, maybe you are going for blocks of colour, in which case all is well. It will look lovely in any case.

Thank you, I will be changing things up quite a bit and see what I decide.

Cute little cookie model! I think she did quite well – lots of control there. It’s hard to be sure what I think, since the top is so clear, and part of the bottom is really angled and cut off, but I, too, like the top very much, and the bottom seems too light, for one thing. I’m not crazy about the seashells in there, either. Maybe some appliqued over a darker one block background? I’d be tempted to have the side pieces fade in the same color order as the flamingo background, and maybe mostly blues at the bottom, with bits of color? It would not be terrible done exactly like this, though. I’m not a professional artist, so take all this with a grain of salt. =)

Thank you Susan, for the suggestions. I have decided to cut the seashells off and try the lighter colors to the top and the darker ones to the bottom.

I think this will be my last. At least for quite a while. It is stressing me out too much.
